Corrosion Protection
Specialist needed in the Los Angeles, California area.
Farwest Corrosion Control Company, a leader in the cathodic
protection industry, is looking for an experienced Corrosion Protection
Specialist to
work in their Gardena (Los Angeles), California office.
Responsibilities Include:
- Cathodic protection design (plans
& specifications)
- Engineering studies
- Field data acquisition and
analysis
- Technical consultation
- CP system troubleshooting and
repair
- Product development and design
- Corrosion failure
analysis
- Project management and supervision
Preferred Job Skills:
Applicant must exhibit ability to troubleshoot and recognize
deficiencies in various cathodic protection systems and offer a solution
for corrective actions in the form of technical recommendations.
Experience and background in corrosion mitigation of underground and
sub-sea pipelines, storage tanks, offshore platforms, water/wastewater
facilities, power generation facilities and various other structure types.
Must possess good mechanical, electrical, communication and writing skills
and be able to work with all types of clientele.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years CP experience
- NACE Certified CP Specialist (minimum) or
P.E.
- AutoCAD experience
- Authorized to work in U.S. without
sponsor
- Good work ethic
- Does not mind limited travel
