Product Description

CANUSA-CPS Aqua-Shield™ is a family of heat-shrinkable sleeve products that have been specifically designed for the corrosion protection of large-diameter water pipes and pipelines. Various product configurations are available that utilize a crosslinked polyolefin backing, coated with a protective, heat-activated adhesive which effectively bonds to metallic substrates and common pipeline coatings.

The Canusa Aqua-Shield™ Flange Protection Kit (AQW-FPK) system consists of a one-piece heat-shrinkable wraparound sleeve with a unique snap-fit closure and a secondary sealing closure. AQW-FPK is a high expansion/recovery product, specifically designed for sealing large flange joints on water pipelines.

• Rapid and Reliable Installation: The Canusa AQW-FPK has a one-piece construction that allows rapid and reliable field installation. The unique snap-fit closure system also allows for an easy and accurate installation. The closure is easily installed over the snap-fit closure, ensuring a completely sealed system. The kit also contains support skirting that protects the sleeve from the edges and burrs on the flange and bolts.
   

• Long Term Sealing: Once installed, the Canusa AQW-FPK has excellent structural integrity. The system provides superior mechanical protection to the joint as well as protection from moisture, corrosion and bacterial damage. The AQW-FPK adhesive remains flexible after installation and provides an excellent seal even during temperature cycling.
   
• Assured Performance: All Aqua-Shield™ products meet or exceed the requirements of AWWA standard C216-00.
